Aither Entertainment

Aither Entertainment is an independent Hong Kong video game development studio and digital-entertainment IP incubator founded in 2016. The company develops mobile and Web3 games while building original and licensed properties across interactive entertainment, animation, comics, digital applications and merchandise.

Its work combines narrative world-building with game systems designed for mobile and online audiences. Core capabilities include end-to-end game design and software development, blockchain gaming, IP creation and licensing, transmedia development, co-development, publishing support, and brand marketing.

Interactive worlds and original IP

Aither’s flagship project, Apeiron, is a Web3 god-game franchise that combines planet simulation with card-based action real-time strategy battles. The studio developed the project in Hong Kong over three years with a 60-person team, incorporating token ecosystems and deep-reinforcement-learning AI agents for gameplay and social interaction.

The studio is also the authorized game developer and licensing partner for artist Kit Lau’s Acid Rain World universe. Its mobile title Acid Rain World: Gray Dawn combines MMO geostrategy, 4X empire-building and real-time tactical combat. In parallel, Aither has incubated Doodipals / Dood, a character IP extending into animation, comic shorts, casual digital apps and physical merchandise.

Development and franchise building

Aither’s approach spans game development and long-term franchise management. Its teams work across game engineering, 3D art, narrative design and community operations, supporting projects from concept and production through commercialization. The company’s publishing activities for selected projects are handled through the Singapore-based publishing entity Foonie Magus, while Aither remains the primary development studio.

The company grew within Hong Kong’s Cyberport technology-incubator community and expanded into a dedicated Hong Kong studio facility in January 2023. Its portfolio reflects a focus on interactive worlds, character-led IP, digital collectibles, licensing and cross-media storytelling for global game audiences.
