About AGBO
AGBO is an artist-led independent entertainment studio founded in 2017 by directors Anthony and Joe Russo and producer Mike Larocca. Working across film, television and interactive entertainment, the company develops franchise intellectual property and transmedia worlds designed to move between linear and real-time formats.
The studio combines feature and television production with interactive game development, virtual production and post-production capabilities. Its work spans story incubation, scriptwriting, directing and producing; real-time game development; in-camera visual effects and virtual-production stage design; and distribution and co-financing structures. AGBO also creates educational digital content through Pizza Film School.
Screen and streaming work
AGBO’s credited productions include Netflix’s Extraction, Extraction 2 and The Gray Man; the Academy Award-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once; and Prime Video’s Citadel universe, including Citadel: Diana and Citadel: Honey Bunny. Its film and television slate also includes 21 Bridges, Relic, Cherry and The Electric State.
Interactive production
In 2023, AGBO expanded its interactive ambitions by bringing Donald Mustard on as a partner and establishing a dedicated game-development operation. The team works across engineering, level and combat design, technical art, rendering, audio and quality assurance, with an emphasis on connecting interactive worlds to film and television properties.
AGBO’s creative infrastructure supports writers’ rooms, virtual production, editorial and post-production workflows, and screening activity. The company’s approach brings filmmakers, storytellers and game-development specialists into a single production ecosystem for universe-scale storytelling.
Nexon Co., Ltd. acquired a 38% minority equity stake in AGBO in January 2022. The investment supported the studio’s cross-media franchise ambitions while AGBO continued to operate under its unified brand.
