About Across the Pond
Across the Pond is an independent, woman-owned creative consultancy and production studio that helps technology-led organisations translate complex innovations into clear, culturally resonant stories. Founded inside Google’s London office as an embedded video team, it later spun out as an independent agency while maintaining Google as an early and continuing partner.
The studio works at the intersection of brand strategy, deep technology and high-end production. Its work is designed to make technical subjects—including artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, robotics, enterprise software and sustainable innovation—more accessible to audiences beyond specialist environments.
Strategy and production
Across the Pond’s services span:
- Brand narrative, positioning and cultural strategy
- Product, breakthrough and investor communications
- Customer stories, employer-brand and talent-attraction programmes
- Live-action film, documentary production and branded content
- Motion graphics, technical animation and 2D/3D design
- Cross-regional campaign delivery, including print and out-of-home work
Its approach combines meaningful storytelling, innovation-scaling communications and cultural-readiness strategy. The studio uses semiotic and community-mapping work alongside creative development to help organisations connect new technologies with the people and markets they aim to reach.
Selected work
Across the Pond has delivered ongoing storytelling and campaign work for Google Research, Google DeepMind, Google Quantum AI, Google Workspace and TensorFlow. Notable projects include Google Quantum AI’s The Quantum Frontier and Quantum Echoes, DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics and AI by You scholarship campaign, and Standard Bots’ Made For Those That Make America.
Beyond commercial technology work, the studio has supported public-interest and social-impact communications, including UK Government COVID-19 scientific explainer animations, a brand film for the Helen Bamber Foundation, and visual identity work for Stonewall’s Trans in the City initiative.
Across the Pond is a certified B Corporation and operates through a group structure with UK, US and Singapore entities, supporting clients across international markets.
