3Sigma-Studios Kft.

Company Overview

3Sigma-Studios Kft. is a specialized video game developer and in-house production studio based in Budapest, Hungary. Incorporated in 2022 as part of a larger corporate group, the studio focuses exclusively on interactive narrative titles and Full-Motion Video (FMV) games targeting adult audiences.

Development Approach

Utilizing engines like Unity alongside QML, the company continuously develops multiple titles in parallel, ranging from multi-year cinematic releases to shorter, mechanics-driven experiences such as escape room and multi-choice games. A defining characteristic of their development approach is the integration of live-action performances recorded on green screens, which are then composited into fully realized 3D environments to create immersive, choice-driven gameplay with complex branching narratives.

Production Pipeline

The studio operates a fully integrated, end-to-end production pipeline that encompasses all stages of game and film creation. This internal capability spans:

• Pre-production: Conceptualization and narrative design
• Production: Live-action filming at a dedicated local shooting studio
• Post-production: Visual effects (VFX), rotoscoping, camera tracking, and cinematic color grading
• Development: Software engineering, motion graphics integration, and AI-enhanced video content

By seamlessly blending real actors with 3D elements and advanced technical artistry, 3Sigma-Studios delivers high-fidelity interactive storytelling that bridges the gap between traditional cinema and modern gaming mechanics.
