About ISART Digital

ISART Digital specializes in video game development, 3D animation, visual effects, and audio design, with physical campuses located in Paris, Nice, and Montreal.

The Alternance Model and Studio Collaboration

A central element of the curriculum is the work-study (alternance) system. Especially at the master's level, students alternate periods of classroom instruction with active employment in commercial studios. Rather than working in isolation, students from disciplines such as Game Art, Game Design, 3D Cinema, and Sound Design join forces on collaborative cross-disciplinary projects that mirror the multidisciplinary production pipelines of professional studios.

Production Infrastructure and Technical Innovation

Technical training is anchored by dedicated on-campus production environments. Facilities include an R&D lab equipped with computing workstations, PlayStation development kits, and virtual and augmented reality hardware, alongside dedicated spaces such as a GreenLab, a SoundLab, and a motion capture studio. The curriculum incorporates modern industry tools across specialized areas:

  • Game Art and Design: Game production and interactive system workflows built around Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Audio and Sound: Audio integration, sound design, and scoring using tools including FMOD, Wwise, and Pro Tools.
  • VFX and Image Innovation: Procedural simulation and image exploration utilizing Houdini alongside modern generative image tools including Krea.AI, RunWay, Kaiber, and Scenario.

Programs and Academic Pathways

The school provides undergraduate, graduate, and professional tracks spanning French and Canadian credential systems, including Bachelor's degrees, Master's degrees, and specialized certificates. In France, the Game Programming track offers a state-recognized engineering degree accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI).

To assist students in taking original work to market, the Paris campus also maintains a business incubator dedicated to helping cohorts develop graduation projects into independent commercial ventures.
