Hyper Island is a creative business school and vocational academy founded in 1996 in Karlskrona, Sweden. Headquartered in Stockholm with locations across the UK, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region, the institution prepares students for roles in motion design, interactive media, and digital experience by replacing traditional classroom structures with studio-style project work.

The Learning Framework

Hyper Island delivers specialized Swedish Higher Vocational Education (Yrkeshögskola or YH) diploma programs alongside postgraduate study options:

• Motion Creative and Motion Designer: Focuses on complete visual storytelling pipelines, combining classical animation fundamentals with motion graphics, post-production, editing, compositing, and visual branding for multi-platform distribution.
• XR Creative Developer: Dedicated to spatial computing, interactive experience design, and immersive media pipelines, preparing creators for technical design and real-time development environments.
• Digital Management: Offered at the postgraduate level in partnership with Teesside University, providing part-time online Master of Arts pathways for international creative practitioners.
