Asian Academy of Film and Television

Located within the Marwah Studios Complex in Noida Film City, Uttar Pradesh, the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) provides creative education across animation, visual effects, and game design. Established in 1993, the academy embeds its training directly within an active media production hub.

The AAFT School of Animation structures its curriculum around a 70:30 practical-to-theoretical ratio, prioritizing hands-on studio work over lecture-based study. Foundational training begins with tactile asset creation in dedicated sculpting laboratories, where students study volume, anatomy, and three-dimensional character design before transitioning into digital workflows. Digital coursework covers character animation, walk cycles, node-based compositing, matchmoving, dynamic simulations, and real-time virtual production.

The campus houses 14 film studios, post-production laboratories, chroma stages, and sound recording suites. Animation facilities feature workstations with digital pen tablets, Apple Mac Pro setups, and editing systems equipped with Avid and Adobe Premiere. Animation students also engage in cross-disciplinary projects alongside peers from the cinema and performing arts departments.

In addition to campus-based undergraduate degrees, postgraduate tracks, and diploma programs, AAFT offers remote learning options through its AAFT Online platform, which provides flexible distance formats for animation and digital media studies.
