About the Role

Job Overview

Scopely is looking for a Senior Animator with VFX experience to join the MONOPOLY GO! team in Barcelona, Spain on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on animating props, UI elements, and gameplay assets, alongside creating VFX using Emitters. The ideal candidate is a versatile game artist who can collaborate with designers, tech artists, artists, and engineers to create polished, readable, and performant content.


What You Will Do

  • Create animations for props, UI elements, gameplay assets and environments.
  • Create and tune gameplay and UI VFX using Emitters.
  • Integrate animation and VFX into Unity using existing tools and workflows.
  • Work with designers and artists to bring visual ideas to life.
  • Iterate on content based on feedback.
  • Experiment with AI-assisted tools and workflows to accelerate exploration, prototyping, iteration, and production across Animation and VFX.
  • Support asset setup, troubleshooting and related Technical Art tasks when required.
  • Help maintain animation and VFX workflows and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in game animation, VFX or a related discipline.
  • Animation skills, particularly for props, UI and gameplay content.
  • Experience creating real-time VFX including particle systems, materials, shaders, and animation workflows.
  • Experience working in Unity.
  • Some practical experience experimenting with AI-assisted creative tools, with curiosity about how AI can improve Animation, VFX, or Technical Art workflows.
  • Good understanding of timing, readability and visual polish.
  • Experience with tools such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Houdini, After Effects, Photoshop or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently investigate creative and technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good level of written and spoken English.
