Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and create real-time vegetation game assets through the full 3D pipeline (modeling, sculpting, texture creation, retopology, UV, etc.) in Unreal Engine 5.
- Develop sets of plants for different biomes.
- Analyse, plan, and collect references for assets; work with concepts and references according to project guidelines.
- Ensure proper integration for every asset created, considering technical and gameplay constraints.
- Obtain Lead Artist guidance and approval as required to advance tasks.
- Continue to refine artistic abilities and learn new software packages and in-house tools.
- Coordinate with Senior and/or Lead Artists to mentor Junior 3D Artists and share best project practices.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Experience in vegetation modeling in the game industry.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling tools used in vegetation production (3ds Max, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, SpeedTree, or Houdini).
- Strong understanding of texture creation tools (Photoshop, Substance Designer, or Substance Painter).
- Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for game development.
- Teamwork skills.
- Creative, collaborative, and innovative mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in any Game Engine, such as Unreal Engine 5, Unity, or others.
- High-poly sculpting in ZBrush.
