Job Description
Ubisoft is looking for a Junior QC Specialist to join our UX Requirements Team in Kyiv. You will operate across multiple gaming platforms, support production teams in resolving bugs, and play a key role in implementing user experience-related features.
Please note, that position is office-based in Kyiv.
Responsibilities
- Execute epilepsy, sound, and input lag tests, using dedicated software and hardware, and verify that all Ubisoft titles are compliant with the guidelines.
- Operate multiple platforms (PC, Luna, X1, PS4, XsX, PS5, NX).
- Support production teams in fixing bugs and implementing UXR related features of the game.
- Investigate, reproduce, report and track UXR issues on the projects.
- Manage projects following established team actions and processes (planning and coordinating tests, raising project risks, ensuring proper test coverage).
- Work closely with the team and different project stakeholders (production, QC etc.) providing them with relevant feedback on the project status and quality, providing visibility, and obtaining required information.
- Create various documentation and reports based on the project needs.
Job Requirements
- Strong motivation to work and develop in the video game industry.
- Upper intermediate level of English or higher (spoken and written).
- Good knowledge and understanding of testing theory.
- Strong interest in, and genuine passion for video games.
- Good knowledge of PC and console hardware.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of gated project management workflows.
- Experience working with issue and project tracking systems (for example: JIRA).
- Strong communication (ability to develop and sustain a professional network) and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player.
- Proactivity and ability to multitask.
- Resourcefulness and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Openness to change and self-improvement.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on experience with several gaming platforms.
- Experience with multiple projects.
- Experience in coordinating tasks.
- Involvement in test case creation/adjustment.
- Any sound-related background.
- Any experience with epilepsy tests.
