Role Overview
As a C++ Developer within the Gameplay and Monetisation Domain for Candy Crush Soda Saga, you will build and evolve systems that drive player growth and IAP (In-App Purchase) performance. You will design, build, and test monetisation features—from purchase flows to progression-linked offers—for a game played by millions of users daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, maintain, and optimise monetisation features and systems in Soda's live mobile game, including purchase flows, offer systems, and live-ops content.
- Deliver high-quality C++ code with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
- Work on complex engineering problems, applying sound judgment to choose practical solutions and ship them at a healthy cadence.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, UX/UI, Data Scientists, and fellow engineers to shape monetisation experiences that add value to both players and the business.
- Utilize live data and A/B test results to validate work and inform decision-making in an experimentation-driven environment.
- Share knowledge with teammates, support junior colleagues, participate in code and design reviews, and engage with engineering forums across the project.
- Use AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) for building, debugging, and reviewing code.

- Strong C++ skills.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
- Sound coding fundamentals, including writing maintainable code and applying effective testing practices.
- Comfort using or a willingness to adopt AI development tools.
- Ability to work in an experimentation-driven environment and make decisions informed by A/B test results and live data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in game development, mobile development, or performance-critical applications.
- Prior exposure to monetisation systems, live-ops, or A/B test-driven work.
