Slot Game Artist
PAW Gaming is a slot game studio focused on creating original, high-quality online casino games with strong visual identity, engaging mechanics, and polished gameplay. The studio handles the full production process in-house, including game concepts, 2D art and animation, frontend development, game mathematics, sound design, and final integration.
Role Overview
PAW Gaming is seeking an experienced Slot Game Artist to join the team remotely. This role involves taking ownership of the visual direction of games, from early concepts and sketches to polished final artwork, while guiding and mentoring the art team. A primary focus is supporting 2D artists who have less experience specifically within the slot game sector, ensuring they understand slot-specific requirements, asset structure, and visual hierarchy.
Responsibilities
- Define the visual direction and style of each game.
- Create sketches, concepts, and key renders when needed.
- Review work from other artists and provide clear feedback.
- Guide and mentor artists who are less experienced with slot game production.
- Ensure consistency and quality across the full game.
- Oversee the integration of symbols, characters, backgrounds, frames, and UI assets to ensure they function well together.
- Educate the team on slot-specific requirements, including readability, hierarchy, and asset structure.
Requirements
- Strong sketching, concepting, and 2D rendering skills.
- Significant experience working on slot games.
- Deep understanding of reels, symbols, bonuses, features, and slot game structure.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate clearly with other artists.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, color, readability, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to work across different cartoon and stylized 2D aesthetics.
- Comfortable working remotely with a production team.
- Mandatory Requirement: A portfolio of work showcasing previous slot game projects.
