RedZone Production Assistant

Reports To: Coordinating Producer for NFL RedZone
Onsite Requirement: This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location. Remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered. No relocation assistance will be provided.

Work closely with editors to support content for NFL RedZone
Responsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for NFL RedZone halftime fill segments
Transcribing interviews, press conferences, and other related sound to be edited for NFL RedZone
Take direction from show Producers to enhance content on NFL RedZone
Must be able to respond quickly under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities while NFL RedZone is live on air
Maintain good communication and writing skills
Ensure daily adherence to established production schedules to meet deadlines
Responsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows, and performing other various tasks related to the production of NFL RedZone

Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)
Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills
Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for NFL stories & live game action during NFL RedZone
Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments
Strong writing skills
Good knowledge of the NFL and sports history
Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience in a related field

Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred
Basic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish open communication and perform well under pressure
A team-first attitude is mandatory

Salary / Pay Range: $23.75 — $26.50 USD (The NFL expects to hire near the middle of the range. Rates near the higher end are reserved for rare and exceptional circumstances involving candidates with experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed requirements.)
