Job Description
As a Gameplay AI Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the gameplay AI systems of our game. You will work closely with other programmers, designers, and animators from other departments to bring the design vision to life and ensure that the game is fun and engaging for players.
Responsibilities
- Quickly and efficiently prototype gameplay AI features and mechanics;
- Collaborate with and support content creation teams in a cross-disciplinary environment;
- Design, implement, and maintain game mechanics, while providing clear documentation;
- Optimize game systems to ensure performance and optimization across different platforms;
- Create and maintain debugging tools and displays to support the development and maintenance of content;
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in game development, in order to continuously improve the team’s skills and methods.
Knowledge/Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a gameplay AI programmer;
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ and 3D math;
- Experience with Unreal Engine (a plus);
- Experience with gameplay AI systems (combat, enemy behaviors, etc.);
- Excellent communication skills and ease working in a team;
- Knowledge of Mass Entity or DOTS;
- Solid understanding of game development pipelines and techniques;
- Passion for video games and a drive to create fun and engaging gameplay;
- Fluent in French (our primary working language) and comfortable working in English (used to communicate with our Korean headquarters).
