About the role
Company Overview
MikeTeevee is a scalable production partner to in-house agencies.
Role Overview
The Post Producer will be based on the United States East Coast, working remotely to support East Coast projects while liaising with West Coast production and post-production teams. The role requires balancing creative ambition with practical delivery from project kick-off through to final delivery. The East Coast location allows for autonomous progress during morning hours before West Coast team members come online. Occasional travel to the West Coast (LA/Venice Beach) office is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with producers, editors, creatives, and post vendors to support the creative process, from project kick-off stage.
- Manage the post-production process from offline edit through to final delivery.
- Build and manage post-production schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage client feedback, approvals, and amends, ensuring notes are clear, consolidated, and actioned.
- Coordinate all post-production requirements including editing, color grade, sound mix, VFX, motion graphics, online, and mastering.
- Source, book, and manage freelance editors, colorists, sound designers, VFX artists, and other post-production talent.
- Active edit participation in projects (comfortable making small changes to an edit).
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, often across different stages of post.
- Keep clear oversight of versions, exports, deliverables, and final masters.
- Track post-production costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
- Identify potential issues early and proactively find solutions.
- Ensure all final deliverables meet the required technical specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain clear project documentation and keep all relevant stakeholders up to date.
- Work at speed without compromising quality and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience as a Post Producer or in a similar post-production role.
- Previous experience in an Editor role.
- Strong understanding of the full post-production process and the different stages involved.
- Current working knowledge of latest edition edit software including Adobe Premiere & Media Encoder as a minimum, with the skills to autonomously make small changes to project edits (e.g., updating end-cards).
- Experience working with producers, editors, directors, colorists, sound designers, VFX, and online teams.
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at once, remotely.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and creative teams as well as internal colleagues.
- Good understanding of post-production budgets, schedules, and workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly around versions, deliverables, and technical specifications.
- Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to anticipate challenges rather than simply react to them.
- A strong creative eye and an understanding of what makes work feel considered and polished.
- Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative member of a wider team.
- Good knowledge of current post-production tools, workflows, and technologies.
- A genuine passion for film, moving image, and the creative process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in After Effects, Resolve, Avid, and Photoshop.
