About the role
Company Overview
TAT is a production company and studio created in 2000, specialized in the production of 3D animation series and feature films. The team consists of approximately 300 people, covering the entire production pipeline from scriptwriting to post-production. The studio produces one feature film per year while concurrently designing series.
Position Details
- Role: Lead Character Modeling & Blendshape 3D
- Contract Type: CDD (Intermittent/CDDU) - 12 months
- Workload: Full-time (35h / week)
- Location: Toulouse
- Start Date: September
- Salary: 170 to 220 € gross / day depending on profile
- Project: Premium series
Missions
- Supervise the transformation of sculpts into production-ready characters.
- Manage and oversee the modeling and blendshape work of the team.
- Guarantee the quality of final modeling topology and facial deformations.
- Ensure alignment between artistic direction and technical constraints.
- Collaborate closely with Rig, Animation, and Fur departments.
- Mentor and support artists regarding volume, facial anatomy, and expression challenges.
Profile Requirements
- Professional Experience: Solid experience in Blendshape and Character Modeling on ambitious 3D productions.
- Artistic Skills: Strong sensitivity to volumes, expressions, and silhouette.
- Technical Skills:
- Mastery of blendshape workflows and facial deformation issues.
- Mastery of Character Modeling.
- Thorough understanding of topology and deformation constraints.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of artists.
- Good communication and collaborative work skills.
- Autonomy, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Rigor, quality control, and attention to detail.
