Team Structure
The role is part of the Mission Feature Team (MFT), which consists of designers, a producer, and embedded QA staff. The team is responsible for:
- Creating the first implementation of new missions, which are later handed off to other departments for further content development.
- Generating content for regular in-game events and occasional demos.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Narrative department to build engaging stories for missions and locations.
- Design, document, and own features, mechanics, missions, and systems as necessary.
- Utilize in-house tools, including the visual scripting editor Subsumption, to create logic for missions, systems, and events.
- Work closely with other departments to improve AI, gameplay, mechanics, and tools that impact the work or the team's ability to operate.
Qualifications
- Previous industry experience within AAA titles with ownership of major features or missions.
- Strong understanding of visual scripting or coding fundamentals.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across disciplines.
- A proactive approach to mentoring peers and guiding junior designers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with other departments.
- Ability to work with and respect frequent deadlines.
