Job Summary
This position is a one-year contract. The role involves creating images, effects, and programs for digitally composited sequences, as well as compiling the various elements of a shot and seeing it through to completion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create images, effects, and programs for digitally composited sequences.
- Compile various elements of a shot and see it through to completion.
- Design and implement direct and reflected lighting and shadows for assigned shots that meet art and tone direction.
- Develop solutions and techniques that meet art and technical direction.
- Navigate and use previous setups for at least a dozen shots, including insertion of shot specialization and managing multiple assets and lighting setups.
- Manage volumetric light setups, including shadowing and cucoloris development.
- Light, material tweak, and render for actors using CG hair and scattering skin materials.
- Actively work with competency, energy, and enthusiasm within a team environment with daily supervision to complete shots.
- Demonstrate good listening and communication skills by openly receiving direction and criticism, asking questions to confirm clear knowledge, implementing requested changes immediately, and raising flags regarding delays or obstacles.
- Demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills in dailies and shot reviews by clearly and briefly outlining accomplishments and next steps.
- Demonstrate an eye toward anticipating potential problems and identifying areas for improvement in shots.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time well, and provide accurate time estimates for shot task completion.
- Mentor other digital artists in creative lighting and technical aspects.

- Must have some CGI experience.
