The Role
A senior Head of Product position responsible for driving product delivery and execution. The role involves working with multiple product-led cross-functional teams to improve execution speed and deliver value to users. Key responsibilities include managing the product team (hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development), operating at high capacity, managing multiple priorities, and optimizing delivery speed and processes.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the timely delivery of cross-functional teams, improving execution speed and reducing the time to deliver user value.
- Develop strong working relationships with the Design and Engineering teams.
- Actively contribute to the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Ensure that projects remain aligned with product vision, strategy, and wider business goals.
- Own user-centric business KPIs, driving growth and innovation.
- Create quarterly roadmaps to provide visibility into current, upcoming, and future initiatives.
- Improve product processes where necessary, solving problems without adding unnecessary red tape.
- Conduct product research and discovery for new areas of business or novel problems.
- Take responsibility for hiring, onboarding, and performance management in the product team.
- Support the product team pastorally and develop the careers of Product Owners and Managers.
Role Requirements
- Substantial and proven product experience, with recent years leading a product team at a product-led organisation.
- Pragmatic approach to delivery, identifying user-centric products that are valuable, usable, and feasible.
- Strong data fluency, using analytics, KPIs, and user testing to validate opportunities and initiatives.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to be ruthless about objectives.
- Master communicator, able to influence without authority to gain buy-in and align the business with the product strategy.
- Self-learner with a good level of technical and design knowledge.
- Ability to build trust through transparency and candour.
