About the role
Responsibilities
- Own shots from plate to final, delivering high-end photoreal composites on a tight schedule.
- Execute beauty and cosmetic cleanup work.
- Work directly with the VFX supervisor to address notes and turn around versions quickly.
- Maintain consistent look and quality across sequences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional compositing experience in feature film or high-end episodic, supported by credits.
- Expert-level Nuke proficiency, including multi-pass CG integration, keying, tracking, paint/roto, grain, and lens matching.
- Strong eye for photorealism, lighting, and color.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment, hitting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Clear communication skills with a focus on quick, accurate turnaround on notes.
- Ability to commit full-time for the 3-month duration with an immediate start.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with ComfyUI or other generative AI tools in a production pipeline (matting, cleanup, plate generation, etc.).
- Python scripting in Nuke.
- Specific experience with beauty/cosmetic work.
Terms and Conditions
- Contract Type: Full-time, 3-month contract (possible extension).
- Location: Remote.
- Working Hours: Must be able to work PST hours or maintain a significant overlap with Pacific Time.
