Department Overview
The Epic Communications team advances the company’s narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. The team creates positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.
What You Will Do
The Communications Intern will join the Comms and Community team to help keep press, players, developers, and the world informed while building strong reputations for the games, tools, and tech Epic Games makes. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing plans for new product and feature launches for the Fortnite ecosystem, Rocket League, and developer platforms.
- Developing messaging for different audiences.
- Researching media and developing social media strategies.
- Reporting on results, including coverage, audience reception, and media feedback.
- Shaping team operations, including optimizing information storage, Slack usage, and project tracking.
- Contributing to the development of materials for news moments, including anticipating potential reactions and preparing for reactive questions.
- Organizing trackers and contacts for media outreach.
- Contributing to social media planning.
- Tracking day-to-day media coverage.
- Monitoring social media sentiment and running analysis to provide insights to the team.
What We Are Looking For

- Desire to learn media relations and social media strategy.
- Ability to be a quick, succinct, and creative writer.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and data-driven research experience.
- Experience supporting projects and organizing materials, timelines, and driving deliverables and outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a tenacious appetite to learn.
- Academic study or previous experience in communications, PR, social media, journalism, or writing.

- This internship has a flexible start date in 2027.
