The Role
As a CFX Artist, you will be responsible for creating a broad range of effects that work well with stylised CG and photorealistic characters and creatures. You will ensure effects look believable and are consistent with the overall look and feel of every individual project. You are expected to build scalable, team-friendly CFX set-ups and contribute as a collaborative team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a broad range of effects suitable for stylised CG and photorealistic characters and creatures.
- Develop strong and procedural CFX setups.
- Ensure all effects meet a high standard of detail and project consistency.
- Build scalable, team-friendly CFX set-ups.
- Manage and support other artists as required.
- Adapt flexibly to new workflows.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional experience in Houdini.
- Proficiency with Vellum Solver (cloth, feathers, hair).
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform strong and procedural CFX setups.
- Experience or interest in managing and supporting other artists.
- Flexibility to adapt to new workflows.
Preferred Skills
- Use of VEX.
- Knowledge of muscles in H20.5 or H21.
