Role Summary
LnW Digital is seeking an experienced, smart, and creative Software Engineer to work in a primarily technical role. The successful candidate will build and maintain game engines on the next-generation casino platform. This senior-level position requires the ability to lead technical discussions, provide technical advice, and contribute to requirements capture, analysis, and testing.
Job Details
- Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada, Pune.
- Required Experience: 3-5 years (Candidates should possess at least 4 years of professional experience in web system design and development).
- Reporting Line: Reports to the Development Manager.
Key Tasks
- Design and develop functionality based on existing coding standards or patterns.
- Write unit and integration tests for own code.
- Contribute to code reviews on code written by the team.
- Maintain documentation for products.
- Work with partners and development teams to define requirements and agree on designs.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the software.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Excellent knowledge of the Java programming language (minimum 4 years of commercial experience).
- Disciplined approach to testing.
- Experience and knowledge of software design patterns.
- Experience with Java Spring Framework, Guice, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
- Experience with Continuous Deployment and Integration tools (Jenkins, Docker, etc.).
- Experience reviewing others' work for performance, security, efficiency, and portability.
- Capability to lead technical discussions with customers.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
- Good understanding of enterprise software architecture (Java EE), especially Java 8 and above.
- Fluency in Maths (probability, combinatorics).
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience using Maven.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience acting as the primary technical decision-maker for a team, platform, product, or major project.
- Experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Java Servlet containers (Tomcat).
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Typescript and Scala.
