Role Summary
Scopely is seeking a Senior Animator to join the MONOPOLY GO! team. Responsibilities include creating animatics, transitions, 3D animations, VFX, UI animations, and character animations. This role requires collaboration with Tech Artists, UI artists, UX designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality mobile game animations and player experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Animation Director and Art Director to set and push the animation quality bar and express storytelling through in-game animations.
- Understand animator workflow and provide technical support for efficient production and implementation of high-quality animation.
- Work with engineers, animators, and technical artists to define, maintain, and improve animation tools and pipeline.
- Provide feedback on animation created by internal artists and external co-developers or outsourcers.
- Participate in team art discussions, critiques, and reviews.
- Coordinate with production to ensure timely completion of animation tasks.
- Collaborate with the narrative, design, and art teams.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Expert hand-key animation skills and clear knowledge of animation fundamentals.
- 5+ years of professional experience creating animations for games.
- Experience with technical implementation of animations in UI and feature development in Unity.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and work discipline.
- Online Portfolio demonstrating animation art skills and technical art skills.
- Experience with game feature development, player experience, story, and creating previz (After Effects, Photoshop, Animate).
- Experience or curiosity in using AI-supported tools responsibly to improve creative workflows, iteration, and productivity.
Bonus Points
- Proficiency in drawing, texturing, and modeling.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects.
- Experience in mobile games.
