About Omnilojo
Omnilojo is a mobile game company dedicated to developing strategy games for players worldwide. Our titles, Last Z and Dark War, have gained strong global recognition, each offering a distinct experience within the strategy game genre.
We are expanding our Singapore studio and welcome talented artists from around the world to join us in creating high-quality, engaging, and visually memorable mobile games.
About the Role
We are looking for a 3D Environment Artist to join our realistic Western-style Unity mobile game project.
This role focuses on creating, refining, and optimizing high-quality 3D environment assets for real-time gameplay. The ideal candidate has strong modeling and material skills, a deep understanding of the PBR workflow, and the ability to enhance environment assets beyond the original concept art while maintaining consistency with the project’s visual direction.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize 3D environment models for a realistic Western-style Unity mobile game.
- Ensure environment assets meet the project’s visual quality standards, performance requirements, and overall art direction.
- Produce environment assets based on concept art and project needs, including modeling, UVs, texture baking, AO maps, normal maps, PBR textures, and material setup.
- Refine and enhance assets based on concept art, improving shape language, sculptural quality, material depth, and final in-game presentation.
- Review outsourced environment assets, provide clear feedback, and guide external vendors to meet project quality and style requirements.
- Participate in the design and production of in-game visual content to improve overall game quality and player experience.
- Work closely with concept artists, level artists, TA, engineers, and other art teams to ensure assets are production-ready and properly integrated into Unity.
- Balance visual quality and asset efficiency to support smooth performance on mobile devices.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience as a 3D Environment Artist or similar role in the game industry.
- Art-related academic background is preferred.
- Experience with realistic Western-style game projects is highly preferred.
- Strong art fundamentals, including modeling, shape design, proportion, composition, color sense, material understanding, and realistic visual presentation.
- Proficient with Unity, 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar production tools.
- Deep understanding of the PBR production pipeline, including modeling, UVs, baking, AO/normal maps, texturing, material setup, and real-time engine delivery.
- Strong modeling, sculpting, and material refinement skills, with the ability to create polished environment assets.
- Able to perform secondary creative refinement based on concept art, improving the final asset quality rather than simply copying the original design.
- Able to control asset quality, polygon count, texture specifications, and resource efficiency based on project requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Able to communicate in English in a professional work environment, including daily collaboration, meetings, and written communication.
- Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to polish work to a high standard.
- Open to feedback, highly collaborative, and able to work under reasonable production pressure.
- Passionate about games; candidates who actively play games are preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with realistic Western-style, post-apocalyptic, survival, war, SLG, RPG, or high-quality mobile game projects.
- Experience with Unity-based commercial or shipped game projects.
- Experience reviewing or managing outsourced 3D environment assets.
- Strong understanding of real-time performance optimization for environment assets.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows in game art production is a plus.
Location
This is an on-site role based in Singapore. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our Singapore studio.
Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, skill level, and role fit. For international candidates, the package will take into consideration Singapore’s cost of living and relocation-related expenses. Please note that relocation support is included as part of the overall compensation package, and no separate relocation service or relocation package is provided.
