Job Summary
At Trailmix, we’re on a mission to create unforgettable experiences in our games. We’re looking for a Senior UI Artist to join our New Game team and help define & deliver a best in class style, visual language & UI for our new game. You’ll be working across disciplines as part of a small but mighty, fast-moving & collaborative team. This role requires a blend of creative vision & technical expertise, as you’ll be working closely with our cross-functional teams to craft a whole new UI & style guide and implement it in Unity from scratch. You’ll be a leading voice in shaping the game’s look and feel, having a crucial impact on a brand new, free-to-play mobile game.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate high-level requirements & creative vision into clean, clear UI designs that the wider team can easily understand and develop.
- Design and conceptualize player-centric UI artwork & develop a style guide to a polished, visually appealing standard.
- Create mockups and wireframes to explore and communicate design ideas.
- Collaborate with designers to develop and refine user flows that enhance gameplay.
- Prepare and implement assets into Unity, working closely with developers and tech artists to ensure efficiency and usability for others.
- Actively participate in collaborative team discussions, bringing subject matter expertise, constructive feedback and a production-ready mindset.
- Ensure maximum readability and player focus in all UI work.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven track record of delivering high quality UI artwork for free-to-play (F2P) mobile games.
- Highly proficient with implementing high-quality UI systems in Unity, ensuring consistency in quality and style across the project.
- Experienced in collaborating on delivering seamless, high quality animation systems in Unity, with clear & concise documentation.
- Deep understanding of what constitutes cohesive and clear design for the F2P mobile space.
- Ability to adapt and refine artwork and animations, responding to feedback and creative direction.
- Proficient & experienced with wireframing and user flows.
- Demonstrable ability to render consistent, final 2D assets with a cohesive style, aligned to a creative vision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work.
- Continuous learning mindset, keeping up-to-date with trends, best practices and evolving game design standards within the mobile F2P genre.
- Adaptable, collaborative and independent, balancing tasks and priorities without being prompted.

Our London Studio Location
