Key Responsibilities
- Rigging and skinning models of characters and creatures
- Developing and improving tools for the animation team using Python
- Daily collaboration with modelers and animators to create high-quality assets
- Collaborating with Character and Animation teams to maintain high-quality standards and visual consistency of the game vision
- Maintaining characters file naming structure and ensuring characters are technically correct
- Collaborating with production to ensure high-quality projects and meet deadlines
- Working with Engine team to develop animation systems, create and improve engine tools
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 4 years of experience in a similar position in the video games industry
- Good knowledge in rigging and skinning
- Ability to create tools and scripts for the animation department
- Knowledge about modular scripting rigging
- Very good knowledge of any 3D package (Maya, MotionBuilder preferably)
- Good understanding of human anatomy
- Very good communication skills, openness to giving and receiving feedback
- Keeping up to date with current technology trends
- Unreal Engine knowledge
- Metahuman pipelines knowledge
- Facial rigging experience is a plus
- The physics simulation experience is a plus
- Good English skills
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with Houdini
- Coding in C++, HLSL
- Knowledge of Muscle Deformer
