Job Summary
Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. At Ripple Effect, a studio dedicated to the Battlefield franchise, we are looking for a Screenshot Artist to create stunning photo and video materials for Battlefield. You will help introduce the world to the next entry in our franchise through eye-catching photographs of moments only possible in Battlefield. Your photo and video assets will live both in-game and in marketing materials. This role reports to the Line Director, Art. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options within the Vancouver area.
Key Responsibilities
- Create screenshots in debug game build and in Frostbite engine.
- Create lighting gyms in-engine to accelerate the image creation pipeline.
- Explore new ways to photograph game content.
- Implement feedback from creative leads and partnering teams.
- Organize, archive, and back up assets.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with development software and hardware.
- Create and maintain onboarding documentation for the craft, tracking best practices, current workflows, and bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- 3+ years of experience with composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Working knowledge of cameras and terminology including exposure triangle, depth of field, raw processing, bracketing, and compositing.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine, Unity, or Blender/Cinema4D.
- An appetite for troubleshooting PC software and console hardware.
- Portfolio of relevant photography or artwork.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role in British Columbia varies depending on location (e.g., Vancouver vs. Victoria):
- $79,900 – $111,900 CAD
