Job Summary
Coffee Stain Studios is the largest team under the Coffee Stain brand, where our journey began back in 2010. We’ve recently launched Satisfactory 1.0 after a highly successful Early Access period, with over 6 million copies sold as of today.

The programming team works closely together in an open and honest environment, understanding that creating and resolving bugs, and learning from them, is part of being a programmer. As a small studio, every member carries significant responsibility and faces diverse challenges, working on a wide range of problems without excessive specialization.
Working on the current project Satisfactory, performance-critical code is essential. Programmers are expected to write lean and efficient code, with profiling and optimization being key aspects of the role. The team values problem solving, collaborative brainstorming, and novel approaches to tackle large-scale system challenges beyond typical methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of your work.
- Write robust, maintainable, and efficient C++ code.
- Profile and optimize systems implemented for performance-critical applications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and internal processes.
- Contribute unique and clever ideas to solve complex problems.
- Support and help improve the skills of colleagues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong C++ background with at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Desire to write robust, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Interest in continuous self-improvement and helping others improve.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and improve team processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Unreal Engine.
- Experience working on multiplayer projects.
- Experience working on large-scale projects.
- Previous shipped title(s).
- Knowledge of advanced programming techniques such as SIMD, Multithreading, Async Tasks, etc.
- Unreal Engine UI programming experience (Slate/UMG).
Work Environment & Practical Info
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) based on-site at our office on Hertig Johans gata in Skövde, Sweden. Occasional remote work from home is permitted.
Our office offers a casual workplace environment with bicycle parking, an in-office gym, game and chill-out zones, and frequent social events and parties. The team is friendly and multinational.
