Disbelief is a game development studio focusing on contracting and consulting services. We’ve worked with both AAA and independent studios to help their projects ship. Notable projects include Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Minecraft, Borderlands 3, Gears Tactics, Gears 5, and Pacific Drive.

We are looking for a Senior Producer who will be a leader, mentor, and help the team understand critical paths to successfully meet goals. You will act as a bridge between developers and clients, empowering teams to achieve more than they could alone. Beyond planning and managing projects, producers act as advocates, organizers, and teachers for all departments. Transparency, consistency, and honesty are highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary communication bridge between clients and development teams.
- Ensure forward progress on the “critical chain” of tasks, assist developers as necessary, and communicate progress to leadership and clients.
- Teach and mentor other producers; mentorship is a key part of our culture.
- Track and communicate measurable contributions of teams on projects.
- Understand each individual contributor’s expertise and productivity level.
- Build processes, procedures, and protocols; improve existing production pipelines.
- Clearly communicate internally with teams and externally with clients.
- Build and maintain project schedules and drive projects to completion.
- Create visual representations of data points to inform leadership of project status.
- Triage obstacles and issues within assigned projects.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years in game production or other software industry/environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong time management skills
- Highly organized
- Strong mediation and problem solving skills
- A strong desire to enable others to do their best work
- Experience with industry project management tools and processes
- Experience working on at least one shipped commercial project from start to finish
Additional Information
Location: Cambridge, MA or Chicago, IL
Relocation Assistance: Available where applicable
Hybrid Work: Producers are in the office based on project needs, but can sometimes work from home. Some projects require access to physical infrastructure.

Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $101,600 – $129,300
When making a job offer, many factors are considered including experience, skills, comparable jobs in the industry/geographical area, and relocation benefits. The upper end of the salary range is often reserved for candidates who demonstrate strong performance in the role.
