As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Gameplay Programming Intern to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with developers on real gameplay systems, emphasizing strong programming skills.
- Be an active participant in the production of the game as the technical side of the creative team.
- Work on all aspects of gameplay systems of the RPG: code architecture, development, and support.
- Cooperate closely with other departments to implement needed game components.
- Collaborate with UI designers on the in-game UIs.
- Write robust and maintainable code.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Technical requirements:
- Solid knowledge of C++.
- Understanding of basic C++ concepts such as types, OOP, memory management, etc.
- Ability to write robust code without infinite loops and memory leaks.
- Portfolio of personal projects developed in C++ including source code not older than 2 years (projects done during university coursework will not count).
- Candidates without coding examples will not be considered.
- Personality traits:
- Open minded, willing to experiment and iterate over specific features.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Passion for making and playing great games.
