Job Summary
Milk VFX Bordeaux is looking for an Environment TD to join our talented team. The role involves creating high-quality environment assets and set extensions for feature films and television projects, working closely with the VFX supervisors, artists, and other departments to deliver outstanding visual effects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed 3D environment assets and set extensions.
- Work collaboratively with the VFX team to integrate assets seamlessly into shots.
- Ensure assets meet technical and artistic standards for production.
- Optimize assets for efficient rendering and pipeline integration.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to environment creation.
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and other departments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong experience in 3D modeling and texturing, particularly for environment assets.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
- Understanding of shading, lighting, and rendering techniques.
- Good knowledge of VFX pipeline and ability to work within technical constraints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on feature film or high-end television productions.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming to automate tasks.
- Experience with procedural environment creation tools.
Education & Experience
A degree or diploma in Computer Graphics, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a proven portfolio demonstrating environment asset creation for VFX projects and at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
