Job Summary
We are looking for a talented UE Cinematic Technical Director (TD) to join our team. You will be responsible for creating high-quality cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine, collaborating closely with artists and developers to bring digital storytelling to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cinematic sequences in Unreal Engine.
- Work closely with animation, lighting, and VFX teams to achieve desired visual quality.
- Optimize cinematic workflows and pipelines for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to cinematic production.
- Collaborate with the creative team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain and improve existing cinematic tools and assets.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong experience with Unreal Engine, especially Sequencer and cinematic tools.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (Blueprints, Python, or similar).
- Good understanding of animation principles and pipelines.
- Experience with lighting and rendering in Unreal Engine.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with motion capture data integration.
- Knowledge of C++ programming in Unreal Engine context.
- Background in film or game production pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Perforce or Git.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in cinematic production or technical direction.
