Here at Wooga, we specialize in mobile game development, and we have an exciting opportunity for an organized and enthusiastic Animator intern to join our team. As an aspiring Animator, you will work with other team members to complete tasks and have the opportunity to contribute to several projects.
By working with a talented and motivated team of experts, you will have the resources and space to develop your skills and get your first practical experience in Animation and Cinematics.
Please note: This is a full-time (40h/week), 6-month long, paid internship for graduated students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating animations using software tools such as Blender or Unity with the guidance of Senior Animators.
- Contribute to the creation of game Cinematics such as cutscenes and dialogues.
- Learn to read a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications.
- Seek feedback from Senior Animators and mentors and actively incorporate their guidance.
- Work with the team according to style direction with appropriate form and detail.
- Work closely with a dedicated team of artists, writers, game designers and developers on creating experiences that players will love.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of animation principles and a strong desire to learn and develop animation skills.
- Recently graduated from a relevant field of study and/or looking to kick-start your career in Animation.
- Narrative mind and storytelling skills.
- Basic knowledge of Blender, including animation tools.
- Proactive communication and collaboration with other disciplines to create effective and engaging experiences.
- Team player, open to feedback to improve skills and contribute to improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic drawing skills and a keen interest in storytelling and visual aesthetics.
- Wider knowledge of Blender, including rigging, shading and rendering.
- Experience in editing and compositing in After Effects.
- Experience working on a Unity project and good understanding of Animation tools.
- English language proficiency (office language). No German language skills required, but support is available to learn.
