Job Summary
At Riot Games, we believe player experience is everything. We are seeking a passionate and talented Senior Animation Artist to join our VALORANT team in Los Angeles. This role will focus on creating high-quality character animations that bring our agents to life and enhance gameplay experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and polish character animations that align with VALORANT’s style and gameplay needs.
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure animations support gameplay mechanics and narrative.
- Work on a variety of animation tasks including movement, combat, and ability animations.
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all animations.
- Mentor junior animators and contribute to the continuous improvement of animation pipelines and tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional animation experience in games or related media.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in character animation, particularly in combat and movement.
- Proficiency with industry-standard animation software such as Maya or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of animation principles and how they apply to gameplay.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for games.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on multiplayer or competitive shooter games.
- Knowledge of scripting or animation programming to support gameplay integration.
- Experience mentoring or leading animation teams.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Animation, Fine Arts, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in game animation or related industry roles.
