Lupus Films is a London-based production company set up in 2002 by Camilla Deakin and Ruth Fielding to produce high quality films and TV series for children and families. We specialise in animation, using a wide range of techniques from traditional hand-drawn to 2D digital and CGI, and also produce live-action drama and factual entertainment. Our work has been broadcast in the UK on the BBC, Channel 4, Five, ITV, Disney, Cartoon Network and S4C and in over 150 territories worldwide. Our stories fly from the screen into games, merchandise, books, commercials, apps and more. However you engage, youll be moved, again and again.
We are best known for adapting well-loved picture books that feature some of Britain’s most loved children’s characters, including Were Going on a Bear Hunt, The Snowman (for The Snowman and The Snowdog), and The Tiger Who Came to Tea. We also take on original scripts and ideas, to create classic stories for the modern age. Our ambition is to tell stories we love, with people we admire. Crafting productions that are beautiful and distinctive, so they last the test of time. We believe in creating stories that stay with us – the ones watched by every generation, year after year.
Our productions have won numerous Kidscreen Awards, a CAMEO Award for Best Book to Screen adaptation, and the Best Childrens Televisual Bulldog Award. They have also been nominated for the BAFTA Childrens Award for Animation, British Animation Awards, Broadcast Awards Best Childrens Programme, and the European Animation Awards.
Lupus received The Womens International Film & Television Showcase Foundation International Visionary Award for Animation in 2017, was also nominated for Cartoon Movies Producer of the Year Award in 2017 and was mentioned as one of the Top 50 UK Producers to Watch by Screen International in 2018.
