We are a game development company founded in 2016 by six industry veterans. Since 2016, the company has grown to 26 employees and thousands of worldwide fans. Our firstborn game, Deep Rock Galactic, has been an overwhelming success with 1.8 million copies sold and a booming fanbase. From the beginning, the founders aim was to create a solid and profitable games studio with focus on employee well-being including secure and enjoyable employment. Fundamentally, the founders wanted to create a company that they would want to work for – and they succeeded! We strongly believe that our efforts to create a comfortable work environment is one of the main reasons for our low employee turnover and have an outstanding crew who are engaged, motivated and content. We are passionate about our game and community, but we value and appreciate the workforce behind the game and understand they need adequate support from us as well as time for family and friends. Therefore, we do not practice the art of crunch time that is otherwise a prominent feature in the industry. We want to turn Ghost Ship Games into a solid game studio, able to compete with other mid-size game studios on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As a small, new developer we will have to pick our projects with care, but together we have the skill, the experience, and the passion to create something truly fantastic. Our motto is simple: Co-op First. Our goal is to take Co-op to the next level and to make great games, focused on the Core Gamer.
