“Back in 2000, Esther Casas Roura started her career as a research scientist in New York. She always had a passion for animation; everyone would tell her she was too crazy to be a scientist but too serious to be an animator Her outcome? Esther has become a filmmaker specialized in the combination of cinema, animation, and visual effects. Although she still actively thinks with a scientific brain. In 2006, she founded CLAYMANIAK, and since then she has worked on web commercials and 2 stop-motion short animated films, which she wrote and directed. Her latest film, CREAMEN, was screened at over 100 film festivals and ended up garnering dozens of film awards and honors. Esther is now currently directing FLOCKY, her 3rd short animated film, and TAO, her 2D-animated feature, in development. Besides directing her films, Esther also works as editor and stop-motion animator for commercials and films.
