Status: Permanent Full-Time
Behaviour Interactive is the largest Canadian gaming studio, with more than 1,300 employees worldwide. Best known for its flagship franchise, the multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight™, the studio is expanding its portfolio of original IP with multiple projects. Behaviour is also a leading provider of external development services, partnering with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Take-Two.
As a Senior Concept Artist, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director to craft visual images that inspire the art production team. You will use your extensive experience in conceptualization, design, and illustration across diverse environments to ensure every design element aligns seamlessly with production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create sketches, studies, and designs of environments and characters.
- Adapt your art production according to the project’s needs.
- Work effectively with other departments.
- Guide and inspire junior artists, providing constructive feedback.
- Balance artistic and technical constraints.
- Create illustrations that communicate the art direction vision.
- Share your work and improve it according to feedback.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of the game pipeline.
- Good understanding of discipline constraints and ability to create art complementary to production needs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and good knowledge of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or others.
- Autonomy, proactivity, effective communication, open-mindedness, and flexibility.
- Strong understanding of art fundamentals: perspective, lighting, atmosphere, composition, architecture, anatomy, colors.
- Ability to deliver high-quality rendering and detailed illustrations.
