Job Summary
Vine FX is looking for an experienced Pyro FX Artist to join the team on upcoming projects. You will be responsible for creating FX as needed to enhance the visual experience. You should have a strong portfolio showcasing smoke, fire, and explosions. You will have strong working knowledge of Houdini and experience working with a Visual Effects Studio.
We will consider remote workers for this role; however, applicants must be eligible to work in the UK or within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone. Speculative applications are welcome and recruitment may remain open even when we are not actively hiring.
Key Responsibilities
- Create pyro FX elements such as smoke, fire, and explosions to enhance visual effects.
- Collaborate with the VFX team to deliver high-quality effects on schedule.
- Utilize Houdini software to develop and implement FX simulations.
- Adapt FX assets to fit project requirements and artistic direction.
- Maintain a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in pyro effects.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong portfolio showcasing smoke, fire, and explosion effects.
- Proficient working knowledge of Houdini software.
- Experience working within a Visual Effects Studio environment.
- Ability to work remotely with eligibility to work in the UK or within +/- 2 hours of GMT time zone.
