Job Summary
Framestore’s 2025 Launchpad Internship offers talented and creative individuals a chance to gain hands-on experience at one of Europe’s leading creative studios. Interns will learn through studio work, presentations, a personal project, and informal meetups while collaborating on real projects with experienced artists and technologists. Previous interns have contributed to shows like Tom & Jerry, His Dark Materials, and Fantastic Beasts.
Working within the Advertising and Episodic departments, you’ll be responsible for setting up skin, muscle, cloth, and hair simulations for our hero and secondary characters and creatures. Other responsibilities include maintaining and supporting those rigs/set ups through production, as well as running shots in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up skin, muscle, cloth, and hair simulations for hero and secondary characters and creatures.
- Maintain and support rigs and setups throughout production.
- Run shots in production.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Good knowledge of Houdini, Vellum, and Maya.
- Creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent sense for physically based motion and understanding of animation principles.
- Ability to run simulations, perform technical animation, and shot sculpting.
- Capability to receive and address technical and creative feedback from supervisors and leads.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be entering the final year of your degree or have graduated in the past 12 months.
- You must be a UK resident and have a current resident, student, or graduate VISA for the duration of the internship.
- You must be available from 7th July – 29th August 2025.
