We are DICE, the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, best known for the 20-year-old Battlefield franchise. We believe our people are the backbone and driving force behind our creative products, and we seek diverse game creators to help build the best Battlefield experiences and make our studio the best in the industry.
We are looking for a Narrative Design Intern to join our team. You will report to the studio’s Narrative Director and work within a multi-studio narrative department, contributing to multiple experiences across the Battlefield franchise.
Contract: Intern (Temporary – 6 months)
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Work Model: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate to brainstorm and develop engaging stories in the Battlefield universe.
- Research historical events and current geopolitical topics.
- Help design in-game dialogue.
- Support character development from a narrative perspective.
- Work with level design and environment art teams to maintain story consistency.
- Help create game modes with a focus on player experience.
- Learn to implement dialogue and narrative elements in Frostbite.
- Help develop internal narrative documents.
- Help create design documentation.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing the Battlefield brand and tone in-game.
- Explore new ways to engage players through narrative.
Required Qualifications
- Must be associated with a university education or other education program that includes an internship period (e.g., LiA).
- Must reside in Sweden (relocation or visa assistance is not provided).
- Available to start a full-time internship from September 2025.
Desired Skills
- Understanding of interactive narrative mechanics.
- Basic narrative design experience with game design, level design, and UX design.
- Ability to collaborate with others, accept feedback, and refine ideas.
- Experience working on a video game or interactive media project, whether or not it was released.
