Key Responsibilities
- Muscle Simulation Guru: Create realistic muscle simulations for remarkable creature characters, ensuring unparalleled quality and accuracy.
- Technical Excellence: Utilize deep knowledge of muscle systems, soft tissue dynamics, and physical simulation to drive groundbreaking results.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of Creature FX Artists, guiding them in their muscle simulation journey.
- Seamless Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate muscle simulations into character performances.
- Innovative Visionary: Lead the development of in-house tools and techniques to keep VisKefi at the forefront of industry capabilities.
- Quality Control Expert: Set and maintain the highest standards of realism in creature muscle simulation.
- Forward-Thinking: Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance studio-wide pipelines.
- Project Management Pro: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and consistently meet project deadlines.
- System Enhancement: Continuously refine and optimize studio-wide systems and workflows to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field.
- A formidable portfolio demonstrating expertise in muscle simulation and character animation.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the visual effects industry, focusing on muscle simulation for creatures.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Houdini, Maya, Ziva, and other relevant tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and managing a team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for pushing the boundaries of creature animation and visual effects.
Experience Requirements
At least 5 years of professional experience in muscle simulation within the visual effects industry, with a focus on creature animation.
