Job Summary

DixonBaxi is seeking a Motion Designer with experience in design or production studios. You are an animator and motion generalist with a proven passion for 3D, ready for more responsibility, experimentation, challenge, and growth. Our London (N1) studio is a creative hub where we collaborate at least three days a week to foster innovation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Animate with a strong sense of timing, choreography, and attention to fine nuances in motion design.
  • Collaborate effectively within the motion team and across other disciplines at DixonBaxi.
  • Understand brand strategy and how it is conveyed through motion design.
  • Push the role of motion design within brand communications.
  • Work with UI motion and UI prototypes, ideally with experience in Principle, Figma, Lottie integration, Spark AR, or Unity.
  • Plan, storyboard, and realize films of varying duration as a visual storyteller.
  • Use After Effects expertly, with good working knowledge of Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Apply fundamental Cinema 4D (C4D) skills.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience as a motion designer or animator in design or production studios.
  • Strong skills in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Fundamental skills in Cinema 4D (C4D).
  • Understanding of UI motion and UI prototypes, with tools such as Principle, Figma, Lottie, Spark AR, Unity preferred.
  • Ability to storyboard and produce visual storytelling films.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity and drive to explore what makes motion design special and meaningful.

Working Location & Hours

The role is based in London with a hybrid working model: studio attendance is required Tuesday to Thursday, with flexible work-from-home options on Mondays and Fridays.

DixonBaxi supports visa sponsorship but does not offer relocation packages. Freelance experts are regularly engaged for specific projects, including those based outside the UK.
