As Lead 2D Artist at Black Kite, you are responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery. Using your deep working knowledge of the VFX pipeline, you will provide technical and creative leadership to the team working across the 2D pipeline on a broad range of high-end VFX projects. You will collaborate with the VFX Supervisors and Producers to deliver outstanding VFX work on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with VFX Supervisors to develop and implement creative and technical solutions for the 2D requirements across a range of VFX projects.
- Create outstanding creative work.
- Lead teams of 2D artists to success across a wide range of high-end VFX projects.
- Work with the Production team to pitch for and win projects whilst seeking opportunities to develop client relationships.
- Shoot supervision, ensuring that all required data is captured while providing an excellent experience for clients.
- Support and mentor our creative talent.
- Deliver client feedback clearly and constructively to your team.
- Deliver projects that look visually outstanding on time and on budget.
- Contribute to discussions relating to the 2D pipeline and creative workflows.
- Inspire a culture of creative innovation.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Black Kite – attend industry events and awards shows.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience delivering outstanding VFX work across Commercials, TV, and/or Film.
- Experience leading or supervising teams of 2D artists to success.
- Great understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
- Production experience with both Nuke and Flame.
- On-set VFX supervision experience.
- Experience dealing with high-profile clients and Directors, with motivation to develop this further.
- Understanding of 2D workflows and working knowledge of Nuke.
- Strong problem-solving skills and enjoyment of troubleshooting.
- Team-player with a positive can-do attitude.
- Confident communicator.
- Passionate about providing creative solutions and delivering creative excellence.
