Job Summary

Riot Games is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to join the VALORANT Studio in Los Angeles, USA. This leader will partner closely with studio leadership to drive HR strategy and initiatives that support the growth and success of the VALORANT team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in strategic HR business partnering within a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR advisor and trusted partner to VALORANT Studio leadership, influencing organizational design and culture.
  • Lead talent management initiatives including workforce planning, performance management, and employee development.
  • Drive change management efforts to support studio growth and evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams to deliver best-in-class HR programs and solutions.
  • Coach and develop managers and leaders on people management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a strategic HR business partner role.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience working in the gaming, entertainment, or technology industries preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting creative or product development teams.
  • Familiarity with global HR practices and multicultural teams.
  • Demonstrated passion for gaming and Riot’s player-focused culture.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

Experience Requirements

Extensive experience partnering with senior leaders in complex organizations, preferably within the gaming or entertainment sectors.
