Cinematics Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Cinematics Director to lead the cinematic vision and execution for our upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through cinematic sequences, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in directing high-quality game cinematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the cinematic team to deliver compelling and immersive cinematic sequences that enhance the player experience.
- Collaborate closely with the game design, art, animation, and audio teams to ensure cinematic content aligns with the overall game vision.
- Develop and maintain cinematic pipelines, workflows, and best practices to optimize production efficiency.
- Oversee the creative process from concept through final delivery, ensuring high-quality output that meets project milestones.
- Mentor and manage cinematic artists and animators, fostering a creative and productive work environment.
- Work with external partners and vendors as needed to support cinematic production.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- Extensive experience directing cinematics in AAA game development environments.
- Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, camera work, lighting, and animation principles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard cinematic tools and software (e.g., Maya, Unreal Engine, or equivalent).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
- Passion for video games and interactive storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on superhero or action-adventure game titles.
- Knowledge of motion capture processes and integration.
- Experience with scripting and sequencing cinematic events within game engines.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Animation, Game Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 7 years directing cinematics or related roles in the video game industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
