We love what we do and so do our clients who return to us again and again with a very diverse range of projects.
Are you creative, curious and collaborative? If so, you sound right up our street. Why not apply for one of our positions below?

We are not currently accepting applications except for the roles below, as we have received a large number of applications which we are trying to review. Thank you for your patience, applications will reopen soon.
Send us your CV – Speculative application
All applications need to be submitted via our careers page on the Union VFX website. Any active roles that we are hiring for will be listed online. If there are other roles you are interested in, you can also submit your details online and let us know what your skills are. We will then consider you when a suitable role opens up.
If you are applying for an artist role, you will need to include a current showreel along with your CV. If you have just graduated, a showreel showing your best 2 or 3 pieces of work along with a breakdown of what you did on each piece will help us see where your skills lie. For other roles i.e. Production or Technology, we don’t need a showreel but we do need a CV so we can see your experience and interests.
It depends on the role you are applying for. Cover letters are important for permanent roles, and if you have little or no industry experience as this is the best way to get across your enthusiasm and interest in the role and any relatable experience. Applications for temporary artist roles don’t necessarily need to include one, but we always love getting them!
Be realistic about the skills and experience that you have already. Running is a great place to start as it will give you invaluable insight into the industry and the types of roles you might want to move into. Whilst running, you get to learn the ropes and do training that relates to your long term goals.
We try and get back to you as quickly as possible, however it depends on how busy we are and whether or not we are actively hiring for the position you have applied for. We suggest you allow 2-4 weeks before getting back in touch with us for an update. Contact us on recruit@unionvfx.com
We’d suggest waiting a minimum of 6 months before getting in touch again – this will give you the opportunity to gain some more experience and new examples of work to show.
We have a mixture of permanent and fixed term contracts and we also bring in freelancers from time to time depending on project needs.
Union are able to provide sponsorship for those that require sponsorship to work in London or Montreal, however, this is role and level dependant.
We hope to launch a work experience programme later in 2024. Our goal is to run this twice a year for 16 – 20 year old students with an interest in pursuing post-production as a career. We are not able to offer bespoke, one off work experience due to availability of our team. Applications for opportunities to join us for a week of work experience will open in a few months time.
Union VFX is also a member of ACCESS:VFX, a collective of VFX, animation and games studios who are working together to drive greater awareness, inclusion and diversity in our industry. Several ACCESS:VFX member studios provide placements and internships, and you can find out more information on them here: http://www.accessvfx.org/internships/
