Job Summary

MAKE is a creative studio specializing in storytelling through animation, visual effects, and motion graphics. We value teamwork, client collaboration, and creating fresh, compelling work. We are seeking a 3D Artist to join our team in Minneapolis. This full-time position requires relocation and offers a flexible start date between May and July.

The 3D Artist will be familiar with all aspects of the VFX/animation pipeline and have specialties to focus on. Our projects include commercials, branded content, and original shorts, requiring adaptability and storytelling skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on various aspects of the animation/VFX pipeline.
  • Create high-quality 3D animations for commercials, motion graphics, visual effects, and narrative projects.
  • Implement changes and complete shots within production schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to improve skills and contribute innovative ideas.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organization, artistic ability, and attention to detail with an eye for composition, light, and color.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability for self-directed learning.
  • Ability to follow feedback and instructions from supervisors and leads.
  • Experience in Look Development and 3D scene layout.
  • Knowledge of camera and mechanical animation.
  • Experience in Modeling and Texturing.
  • Understanding of dynamic FX and/or particle simulation.
  • Understanding of multi-pass rendering and compositing.
  • Standard compositing skills using Nuke software.
  • Solid understanding of production pipeline tools.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and develop new workflows.
  • Particle, Rigid Body, and Fluid TD experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with shot-tracking software is a plus.
