Job Summary

Join WildBrain Studios as a Senior Layout Artist specializing in CG and Unreal Engine. This role offers the opportunity to work with iconic brands and award-winning series, contributing to the creative process in a dynamic animation studio environment. You will collaborate with a talented team to bring imaginative content to life, leveraging your expertise in layout and CG techniques within Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and refine layout scenes using CG and Unreal Engine tools to support animation production.
  • Collaborate closely with directors, animators, and other artists to ensure scenes meet creative and technical standards.
  • Develop camera setups, blocking, and scene composition that enhance storytelling and visual impact.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize layouts for performance and visual quality within the Unreal Engine pipeline.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across multiple episodes or projects.
  • Contribute to pipeline improvements and share best practices with the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Layout Artist in CG animation environments, preferably with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong understanding of cinematic principles, camera work, and composition.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine and related 3D software tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on TV series or feature animation projects.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation within Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with other CG software such as Maya, Houdini, or similar.

Education & Experience

Education: Degree or diploma in Animation, Computer Graphics, Film Production, or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in layout or CG animation roles.
